Not to be confused with the Ciara single that, of course flopped, Cassie, who if I'm not mistaken has been working on her Electro Love album since Danity Kane were a group (her debut album came out in 2006) has finally leaked a track from that album called Gimme That, and I have to say I'm quite shockadid by what I hear. I never felt her as a singer (as plenty of others, if you remember her disasterous live performances when she was promoting her debut), but the model/singer has gone the Sky Ferreira direction and has embraced the world of dance.
Gimme That reminds me of Britney's slut anthem Gimme More (which is not a bad comparison musically, since they both have the vocal range of a tone deaf four-year-old), and as I said before if Cassie is looking to make any kind of dent in the music industry, her best bet is to go international and market herself towards the European audience, because like Kelly Rowland, Ashanti, Christina Milain, Mya, and way too many to mention, no one will be checking for her here on the mainstream front unless you're a club music head or gay.
