ROBIN ANTIN TALKS PCD COMEBACK

Remember a few weeks ago when there was word that the Pussycat Dolls were coming back with a whole new line-up? Well creator of the PCD and natural beauty Robin Antin sat down with Jeff Benjamin at Billboard to spill the T, and let everyone know what's up with PCD.

The choreographer has revealed that the line-up that was revealed a few weeks ago by the always inaccurate Perez Hilton (who needs to start working for Mediatakeout since they both are fact check-challenged) that the line-up that's floating around the blogosphere is fake. The only two official members in the new line-up is Lauren Bennett (ex-Paradiso Girls) and an Vanessa Curry (ex-Laker Girl) are in the group. She also revealed that Kim Kardashian and Nigel Lithgoe (So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol) are on board as producers of the PCD reality show, but Robin as creator will be the primary focus ala boring ass LaurieAnn Gibson and her many attempts at having her own reality show.

“Producers are calling,” Antin tells Billboard. “Everyone wants to be a part of the Pussycat Dolls. A group is a hard thing to do but I feel like we hold that part of the market. I’ve been able to really brand it.”

“Everyone wants to see the Pussycat Dolls,” Antin says of the brand’s ongoing success and the music group’s revival. “They know whoever I put in that all the girls are going to be amazing. They’re obviously going to be really hot, but also really talented. I don’t let anyone into my world — the Pussycat Dolls — unless they are fierce.“

I will admit there is definitely a huge need for some girl groups, but with so many egos, these chicks can't stay together long enough to put out more than one record. I am glad Robin is beigng smart about hiring more than one singer to be in a girl group, since many of the girls in PCD were mad that Nicole got to always be center stage in the group, while Melanie barely got her chance to shine. But at least it got Nicole a job on X- Factor.
