MARC JACOBS WANTS TO BE AN ACTOR

With Tom Ford transitioning from designing to directing (the excellent A Single Man I might add), Marc Jacobs is looking to upstage the ferosh designer. The designer recently told Style.com that he wants to be an actor and will start shooting his first role next week. "I got cast in a role in a movie," he said at last week's WSJ Magazine Innovator of the Year awards.

"They're filming next week and I'm excited. I get to play a character that's not myself at all." While it felt just right to see someone as creative as Tom Ford make the transition to directing movies, I don't know how I feel about Marc Jacobs trying to act. Hopefully he can  show more range than one of Kim Kuntdashian's queefs.
