KYLIE MINOGUE TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM NEXT YEAR

Remember earlier in the week when I posted a link to Kylie's tweets of her working on new music in the studio? Well now we know why. Yesterday, the global pop icon performed On A Night Like This and All The Lovers with a 22-piece orchestra at EMI's New Music Sessions extravaganza and revealed that in celebration of her 25 years in the business, she will be releasing an album of all her biggest hits backed by an orchestra.

From Metro:

I’ve been at Abbey Road for about two weeks in total,’ she said.‘Not just for this, I’ve been working on a project for next year. Next year’s my 25th anniversary so we’ve been recording acoustic and orchestral versions of a number of my hits.

I remember Kylie saying she would love to do a concert of her hits and rare b-sides stripped down without all the bells and whistles we love from her, but it never came to fruition. I'm just glad she's doing her biggest hits with a fierce orchestra behind her, because even though the haters have tried to come for her, Kylie has one of the purest voices in the pop world that needs to be experieinced live to believe. Can't wait for the album.
