FX has announced that American Horror Story, one of the best shows on TV since The Walking Dead has been renewed for a second season. This show, which brings in 2.5 million viewers every week has everything going on - fierce gays, murder, nudity from Dylan McDermott, evil ghosts, screen time from the legendary Jessica Lange, demon babies, nudity from Dylan McDermott, the mysterious rubber suit man and did I mention Dylan McDermott's nude butt?
“It’s one thing to have the ambition and guts to reinvent a genre in a way that makes it captivatingly fresh for a broad audience — it’s something else entirely to have the craft to back that ambition up,” said the president of FX, John Landgraf.
Landgraf went on further saying that, “Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have hit the trifecta with Nip/Tuck, Glee and now American Horror Story, which will be scaring FX’s viewers to death for many years to come.”
I cannot gush enough about how much I love this show, and I am glad they are coming back with a second season, but I am curious how they can keep the same characters on the show in season 2. I'm thinking with the house being the main character, the show might work if they kill off everyone that moves into the house at the end of each season.
American Horror Story airs Wednesdays at 10 pm on FX.
