THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT BEING DEVELOPED INTO A TV SERIES

According to Deadline, HBO is looking to develop the hit independent film The Kids Are All Right into an hour-long series:
"Lisa Cholodenko, who co-wrote and directed the Focus Features release, will write the pilot script. I’m told that it will continue the adventures of the five main characters. They were the same-sex partners (played in the film by Annette Bening and Julianne Moore), their son and daughter (played by Josh Hutcherson and Mia Wasikowska) and the biological father of the kids/sperm donor who surfaces and tears the family apart (played by Mark Ruffalo in the film). Deals are still being being worked out, but Cholodenko will be exec producer alongside the film’s original producers"

I actually liked the movie except for the scenes where Julianne's character cheats on Annette Bening with Mark Ruffalo. Even though I know a lesbian wrote the film, it angered me to see that scene because I've been seeing way too many lesbian-driven movies and TV shows where we always have to have the dyke sleep with a straight man to ease the minds of the mainstream into thinking that if a lesbian got some dick she'd be cured of her big gay disease. I am curious as to where they will take the characters, and I do hope that former America's Next Top Model YaYa DaCosta will get a recurring role in the series since there's no way HBO is going to get the other original cast members to commit to a TV series.
