IS DRAKE LEAVING YOUNG MONEY?
It seems MediaFakeOut.com is at it again with their band of lies. The website which often has a hard time with fact checking has an "exclusive" report saying that Drake, whose sophomore album Take Care will be in stores in November and will also perform on SNL this Saturday is leaving Young Money, the label that put his rap career on the map. MTO claims the rapper formerly known as Wheelchair Jimmy on Degrassi: The Next Generation is "unhappy with his arrangement" at Lil Wayne's record label and recently made his "FIRST STEP towards an escape."
“In what many insiders call a COUP D’ETAT,” writes the misnomer-plaugued site, “Drake announced the co-acts on his upcoming CLUB PARADISE tour. And not ONE YMCMB [Young Money & Cash Money Billionaires] artist is included.”
The website also claims that Drake has one more album to release on his contract with Young Money, which will drop on November 15. Once he releases his next album he will be leaving YM.
Drake gave an exclusive statement: “There is no truth to this rumor.”
First of all this entire story soundsl ike bullshit. Drake is having plenty of success with Young Money like Nicki Minaj, so why would he even entertain the thought of leaving? I could see if his career was like Ciara's and his label weren't supporting the music. Then I would ask to be released from my contract and move on. But clearly that's not the case. Drake also has a few collabos on his new album with Lil Wayne, so he'd be stupid to leave. I would really like to sit in on one of those MTO meetings and see how they come up with their lies. Do they put a few names on a wheel and spin it to see who they land on?
