SCISSOR SISTERS GOING BACK TO THEIR ROOTS ON NEW ALBUM

While their 2010 album Night Work was their most focused work to date, the Scissor Sisters have announced they are going back to their roots on their new album.

“[Our last album] Night Work was the most cohesive album we’ve done whereas the others were a bit of a grab bag,” Ana Matronic tells NME. “I think this might be going back to being like that. We sometimes say we should do a concept album but we are a concept, we have a philosophy of what we do. We’re stupid – that’s our concept! We spend a lot of time on the road but whenever we’re home we’re hard at it. We have a lot of music. We wanna get it out asap.”

I was a big big fan of Scissor Sisters early work so this is great news after they lost me with the sophomore album. I lived for the 70's disco funk vibe of earlier hits like Take Your Mama, Mary and Filthy/Gorgeous, so I'm really curious as to where they will go with the next album.
