MEAGAN GOOD NOT REPLACING STACEY DASH ON SINGLE LADIES

Now that Stacey Dash is no longer on VH1's hit night time soap Single Ladies, who will be her replacement on the series once it returns for it's second season. Rumors have been circulating that Meagan Good (Eve's Bayou, The Game) was in the running, but the actress revealed to the Global Grind website that she has not been contacted to play the role of Val.

“They haven’t contacted me..and if they do I’d only be coming on as recurring, (like I was on The Game)..I’m not ready to be a regular on a show, although I am developing a show myself I might star in.”

Girl please. if they were offering you a shitload of money you'd sign on faster than Busta Rhymes getting a train run on him in a New York bathhouse. Personally speaking the entire show is in dire need of a makeover. I understand it came to a boiling point when LisaRaye and Stacey were fist fighting on the show, and being that LisaRaye has some stake in the series, someone had to go and you know Lisa wasn't going anywhere. I would have preferred if the Omar character was more of a believable gay character (not in the vein of being a stereotypical slut), but I don't believe Travis Winfrey in the role. He comes across as a tepid hetero with homo hangups (see his phony kiss with Wilson Cruz to see what I mean). So who do I think are the names that should be tossed around to play the role of Val? How about Vivica A. Fox, Nia Long, Robin Givens or Gabrielle Union? If I were a casting director I would choose Nia Long.
