MARIAH CAREY WORKING WITH JERMAINE DUPRI ON NEW ALBUM

While Mariah has been recently spotted getting back into fighting shape after the birth of her twins, the singer is also reuniting with Jermaine Dupri, the man responsible for getting her career back on track with The Emancipation of Mimi (then again, let's not forget the mediocre tracks that made the cut on E=MC2)..

The signer has been tight-lipped about the sound of the record, but she did recently tweet a photo of them in the studio, which you know got her lambs creaming their jeans.

Mimi and JD's careers have been on life support for a few years, and I think these two working together again is just the push they need to put out their best work in years. I'm just glad she's not working with The Dream & Tricky, who have produced many a cricket for Mariah, J Lo, Kim Kardashian, Ciara and too many to mention. I'm also glad Mariah is willing to collaborate with hungry up-and-coming writers for her new album. In recent years I can take or leave Mariah as an artist because ever since she went hip hop she hasn't really impressed me in the music department.

Since everyone has basically gone dance, I think Mariah needs to record a full dance album. She has what it takes as a vocal powerhouse, and some of her best remixes always came from her collaborations with David Morales (two of which you can listen to below), so why not ditch the R&B/Hip Hop and take on the global dance market outside of the cliched Euro trash market. The last thing you want to be is another over 40 artist with dated tracks that fall into the category of say Janet Jackson who always works with tired ass Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
