Less than a year after her last album flopped,
Keyshia Cole is hard at work on a new album, and wants to release it sometime in early February 2012. The R&B songstress revealed on Twitter that she is working on the follow up to her 2010 album
Calling All Hearts with songwriter
Ester Dean and reveals it's quite the departure from her last four albums.
“I’m in love with these songs I’ve recorded. REAL TALK,” wrote the mother of one, who is also scheduled to hit the studio with Boi-1da (Drake, Eminem).
As some of you may already know, Keyshia has dumped her longtime manager
Manny Hailey and is now being managed by
Kevin Liles, who also manages It R&B singer
Trey Songz. The one-time BET reality star is also working on a new reality show called
Family First, which will find the newlywed balancing her life as a mother, wife, and reviving her music career. I hated Keyshia's reality show with her ghetto ass family
Frankie and
Neffie, so it would be good to see her get back on track and show her career side as well as her personal. I worked with Keyshia three years ago when I was with
VH1, and she was definitely cool people, so I'm definitely rooting for her to win with this new album. If she decided to showcase her fledgling relationship with her mother Frankie, who was last seen on
Celebrity Rehab, I'm sure it would make for great TV.
