HANNIBAL LECTER COMING TO TV
Sir Anthony Hopkins' portrayal of Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter may still scare the shit out of me, but it looks like he will invade my nightmares on a weekly basis.
French production team Gaumont, who is behind such films as Taken, Unknown, and Columbiana are launching an L.A. affiliate, and is collaborating with Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) to create a one-hour TV series exploring Dr. Lecter's early days when he went head-to-head with FBI agent Will Graham. Fuller is also rebooting a one-hour version of The Munsters as well. As long as the series doesn't suck like Hannibal Rising, and has as much bite (no pun intended) as another serial killer show on Showtime that I like, then I will definitely be behind a TV version of Hannibal. The question remains who would make a good Hannibal?
