GLORIA ESTEFAN INKS TARGET DEAL TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM

Gloria Estefan, who has spent most of her career signed to Sony has opted to try a new way of getting her music out to the masses. The singer, who plans to release her first English-language album in eight years has inked a distribution and marketing deal with Verve Forecasting & Universal Music Group. Physical copies of the album will be sold only in Target, while digital copies will be sold on iTunes.

The Deluxe Edition of Estefan's Target-sold album Little Miss Havana, an uptempo Latin-dance-pop album produced by Pharrell Williams and co-produced by Estefan will include four bonus tracks produced by her husband Emilio, including the remix of the album's first single WEPA featuring Pitbull (a track I premiered on this here blog last month). Also the day that Little miss Havana becomes available, when you buy the album you can also download a 25th anniversary remix of her U.S. crossover hit Conga.

Talk about getting a lot of bang for your buck. Little Miss Havana will be available to purchase on September 27.
