Ever since The Expendables mad a on of money when it was released in August 2010, hard core action fans such as myself have been excited for the sequel, which I have been hearing is currently in development. Well according to Deadline, it looks like some more of our favorite childhood action stars will be upping the testosterone ante in the second film.
Returning to fight another day are Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, Jet Li Dolph Lundgren and a new bad ass on the team Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum). Also returning to the sequel are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, with expanded roles this time around. But rumors are now surfacing that Jean Claude Van Damme may have a role in Expendables 2 as the new villain as well as Chuck Norris but Norris' role is still unclear.
The Expendables 2, which will be directed by Simon West (Con Air, Tomb Raider) will blow it's way into theaters August 17, 2012.
