STEVE HARVEY'S ACT LIKE A LADY, THINK LIKE A MAN BEING DEVELOPED INTO A TALK SHOW
While George Lopez and Mo'Nique are currently on the talk show unemployment line doing a few jokes for their supper, it looks like comic Steve Harvey is riding high on the hot tamale train.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Harvey best-selling book, Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man is not only being turned into a feature film (with singer Chris Brown already signed on to star), but the controversial self help book is also being developed into a talk show.
The show is also set to bow next year in syndication, and will be hosted and executive-produced by Harvey. It will tackle the usual chatty mix of relationships, family, and body image, and is expected to be comedic in nature.
As some of you may know Harvey has his own syndicated radio show The Steve Harvey Show that has been alive and kicking since 2000. I actually thought this would be a bastard younger brother to The View, whose ladies always seem to paint men with a negative brush at times. I know they tried to do a male version of The View a couple of years back, but that show was terrible. If Harvey could launch it with multiple male hosts with different P.O.V.'s and not be afraid to get their hands dirty as far as topics, he might be on to something.
