STACEY DASH FIRED FROM SINGLE LADIES?

That's according to rumors being spewed by a few websites such as In Touch Weekly (and most likely Mediatakeout.com), The first season of one of the hottest dramas on VH1 may have just ended this past Monday, but there seems to be a lot more of it behind the scenes than in front of the camera. The tabloid is reporting that Stacey Dash, who plays boutique owner Val on the show was allegedly fired from the show (and not because of her bad acting) and the show's creators are looking for a replacement.

According to the wag, Dash and co-star LisaRaye McCoy got into a heated argument during the taping of a party scene, causing Dash to storm off set with her Louboutins clicking towards the door, yelling "No I ain't coming back until that bitch get's her ass kicked!"

This is not the first time Dash and McCoy have been at the center of an on-set cat fight, which LisaRaye cleared up a few months back on The Wendy Williams Show.

Tired of all the bullshit, LisaRaye took to her Facebook page to defend herself.

As everyone know I am in Italy vacationing. I was just made aware of the lies that are being spread by Mediatakeout and other blogs that like to create false stories. I was not even aware that Stacy Dash had been fired from Single Ladies. Furthermore if she has been fired that is a network decision. I don’t have the power to get her fired nor do I have any beef with her. Now im going to go continue enjoying my vacation!

She also said on Twitter that she knows nothing of anyone being fired and that all series regulars will be back for a second season.

So far the only castmember speaking out on this matter is McCoy, but Single Ladies creator Stacy A. Littlejohn did throw in her two cents:

LisaRaye is a very strong woman and we love her, but she does not have that kind of power, nor at any time did she seek to influence any casting decisions. Furthermore, no cast member of Single Ladies has the power to get another cast member fired. the 6th grade back-stabbing that LisaRaye’s being accused of is completely the creation of uninformed, instigating internet gossip. Please don’t buy into it. Let’s just celebrate that we have a Season 2 coming!!!!

Personally speaking Single Ladies has the potential to do for these women what Sex and The City did for Sarah Jessica Parker and her other three cast mates careers. I can see theatrical spin-off in the future and this show alone going for at least seven more seasons. You want to last for a long time so that you all can get some of that syndication money. I would hate a show like Single Ladies, that has so much potential to get better as it goes along to suffer a premature death all due to some alleged set drama. You are all there to do a job so get it done, bite the bullet and give the fans what they want because quite frankly there aren't many shows on TV featuring strong, successful black women.
