THE SITUATION WANTS TO BE THE NEXT LEO DICAPRIO

In ROTFLMFAO news, Jersey Shore reality star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who is well aware his 15 minutes is almost up (especially if the rumors are true that the fifth season of the hit MTV reality show he just finished shooting in Seaside Heights will be the last) is looking to reinvent himself as a serious actor.

The hard-partying Guido, who smartly capitalized on his new found fame by releasing a workout DVD's,  a self-help book and a line of protein Vodka recently told In Touch that he wants to be the next Leonardo DiCaprio and The Rock.

"Obviously, I look up to [Robert] De Niro and [Al] Pacino, and for someone who's closer in age Leo [DiCaprio] — I'd eventually like to make great movies someday," he told Sullivan, on location at the Jersey Shore house. "But I'm trying to go in a trajectory similar to The Rock, who took his bold personality and phrases from the WWE into film."

Mike will make a cameo in the upcoming live action movie The Three Stooges and also has a spin-off reality show in the works. I've seen actors try their hand at reality television so why not the other way around? It seems professional acting snobs are always turning their nose at reality stars because they are willing to go above and beyond for success and fame. Leo DiCaprio even admitted he watches Jersey Shore, so if Mike is willing to leave his ego at the door and is willing to work from the bottom up in order to be taken seriously as an actor, I don't see why he can't spawn off his career as an actor. In fact, I think that should be the premise of his spin-off reality show. Mike launches a production company, hires an acting coach and goes on the daily grind of getting a part in Hollywood. If Pauly D can have a successful career in the music business (he's currently touring with Britney Spears) then Mike can reinvent himself as an actor. So if that's the direction he decides to go I want 20 %.
