Last week I reported that rumors started to surface in regards to Sienna Guillory no longer reprising her role as Jill Valentine (from RE: Apocolypse) in the upcoming Resident Evil: Retribution. That bit of news angered a lot of the fans (including myself) who were looking forward to her showdown with Alice after appearing briefly during the credits of Resident Evil: Afterlife. Well I am happy to report that Sienna revealed on her Twitter page that she will be meeting with director/screenwriter Paul W.S. Anderson tomorrow.
"Big day tomorrow! Meeting Paul Anderson and Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kultzer to see what my future looks like..."
Sienna later tweeted an official confirmation: "THANK YOU SO MUCH! RETRIBUTION HERE I COME!"
Now that Sienna's confirmed to return, I have to admit I am curious as to who will be cast in the roles of Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong and Barry Burton. The role of Leon has long rumored to be a contender for Jensen Ackles, but if he's busy with filming Supernatural season 7 I don't see how they can work that out. But then again both Retribution and Supernatural film in Vancouver so it is possible he could shoot two things at once.
