Some of our favorite designers from the past seven seasons (none from season 3 are on the show this season) who were short of winning the grand prize have been given a second chance of a lifetime (no pun intended for the network) to compete for the grand prize of a designer's boutique in select Neiman Marcus locations and on the store's website, $100,000 in "technology and office space," $100,000 in cash, a sewing and embroidery studio, a spread in and a gig as a guest editor for Marie Claire magazine.
Taking over for Heidi Klum as host will be supermodel Angela Lindvall, and a new set of judges will include Georgina Chapman, Isaac Mizrahi (from Bravo's other rip-off of it's former network powerhouse The Fashion Show) will mentor the 13 contestants as well as sit on the judge's panel.

I am really looking forward to this season of all stars. The last time I saw Kara was on the Sundance series All On The Line where she was trying to save her fashion empire. Austin Scarlett has always been a favorite of mine, and he always makes for great TV (I will admit i did not like the reality show he had with Santino). I'm still pissed thaty Gretchen walked away with the grand prize last season so it was a wise choice to bring the very talented Mondo back as well as Michael Costello, who i thought was treated unfairly by his fellow contemporaries last season but made it all the way to the finale. Project Runway All-Stars will air on Lifetime sometime at the end of the year.
