NBC SETS EYES ON THE MUNSTERS REBOOT
Yesterday I reported that CBS is looking to develop Bewitched for their network and it seems the reboots just keep on coming. Now comes word that NBC is looking to revive The Munsters. Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller is said to be developing a new version for the network. There was talk that a Munsters reboot was in the works last year, but NBC passed on that draft.
The new version is said to be a darker, edgier version of the popular 60's half hour sitcom, which will not only be extended to an hour but will explore the origins of your favorite family at 1313 Mockingbird Lane.
I can actually see a less sitcom-y version of The Munsters, if it plays like a more supernatural version of say - Parenthood. Also Fuller is known for adding a little quirkiness in his TV shows, such as in projects he was a part of like Daisies, Dead Like Me and Heroes so I actually think it would be interesting to see where he takes the new version.
