Over a decade ago, Britney Spears was the H.B.I.C. of slutty bubble gum pop music. She brought the fierce militant choreography or hairography as I like to call it (hair, hips and tits is what she always wiggles whenever she's on stage). Sure she never makes it a big secret that she lip-syncs, but most of us didn't care because she always gave us show. Britney also never pretended to be something that she wasn't which was another thing I loved about her. A trashy southerner from the trailer park who was dressed up as a sex symbol for dirty old men and queeny homosexuals.
Six years after her unfortunate but expected mental breakdown, Britney has never regained the sexy, sassy, confident pop star and video vixen that she was back in her Oops...I Did It Again days when she had everyone at the MTV VMA's gagging over her sexy moves and her nude bodysuit.
Well now comes word that MTV has a tribute to the pop tart planned when the awards airs on Sunday, August 28. Now word on who will pay tribute to the singer (rumor has it that it may be two artists that inspire Britney - Madonna and Janet - based on their songs being played in the background of the promo) but that has yet to be confirmed.
