While we have to wait until January 2012 (sigh) for the new season of one of my favorite TNT shows Southland, Word on the street is that Lucy Liu will join the cast of the gritty cop drama and will play someone within the LAPD. So far there's no further details on her role or how many episodes she will do, but it's been confirmed that she will be a part of the show and that's good enough for me..
Most know Lucy from her career as a film actress, but she is no stranger to TV. She was nominated for an Emmy for her role as icy attorney Ling Woo on the series Ally McBeal and appeared on the second season of Dirty Sexy Money. Anytime I see Lucy on TV or in films I get excited so I'm really looking forward to what her character will bring to Southland's fifth season.
