Remember the high-rated original Lifetime movie The Client List which starred Jennifer Love Hewitt as a Texas housewife who turns to prostitution to make ends meet for her family? Well according to Deadline, Love will reprise her role in a series based on the 2010 film (which itself was based on a true story).
Love's character will partner with the spa's disorganized owner to run the business after her husband abandons her. So the series will focus on her as a single mother balancing paying the bills, taking care of her kids by herself, and doing something that's considered seedy in a conservative town. Hewitt's deal with Lifetime will also allow her to develop original movies and TV shows for the network, including Love's directorial debut for the network. So with all this being said, the rumors of Love joining the cast of Law & Order: SVU has proven to be false.
