IS ANDY COHEN'S JOB ON THE LINE AT BRAVO?

According to several bloggers, Bravo Director of Programming & Development and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen's job may be in jeopardy. According to a few sources, Andy will no longer be in charge of programming at the network, but will continue to be the face and voice of the network. I'm also hearing they may be considering comic and frequent Real Housewives of New Jersey blogger Jay Mohr as a possible replacement, after he received praise for filling in for Andy recently on Watch What Happens Live back in June. The timing couldn't be worse since the network is currently dealing with the fallout of Russell Armstrong's suicide and I hear they're editors are scrambling about editing Russell out of the show. There's also been rumors that the network can't decide whether or not to cancel the second season (which let's be honest the first season of RHWOBH wasn't anything to brag home about).

“That is totally inaccurate.  Andy Cohen is still very much our Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development and remains the host of WWHL, which comes back for Season Five in September.”

The website RumorFix spoke to Bravo to which the network denied such claims. As a frequent Bravo watcher, I have to admit sometimes I can tolerate Andy and sometimes I want to throw something at the screen. He can be a bit over-the-top at times, but what gay man on TV isn't? I know there are people out there who get on him for putting his foot in his mouth at times (like when he made a nasty comment about the Staten island kids who sang at the Oscars), but what I would really prefer him to do is really go in on the Real Housewives reality stars like Jay did when he hosted. No one likes a kiss ass in media, which is why most people read blog instead of Vanity Fair.

No one does WWHL like Andy, so I say keep him on the show. Now as for RHWOBH, if that show were to be canceled tomorrow I don't think anyone would miss it. Also since Bravo is gayer than LOGO in regards to interesting programming, I would love to see more "reality" in my reality TV and less shows about millionaire matchmakers, house flipping for the wealthy and annoying eligible bachelor(ettes) with no redeeming personalities from Dallas.

What do you guys think? Is it time for Andy to sashay away or do you prefer him running thangs at Bravo?
