DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES HAS BEEN CANCELED

After eight roller coaster seasons with the women of Wisteria Lane, ABC has officially reported that after the upcoming season, ABC's long-running night time soap Desperate Housewives is coming to an end.

“All good things eventually come to an end, and in the eighth and final season, the stakes for everyone on Wisteria Lane are at an all-time high,” the network said in a release.
The cast, including Marcia CrossTeri Hatcher,Felicity HuffmanEva Longoria, and Vanessa Williams was “not completely” shocked about the series ending, said its creator Marc Cherry.
Cherry told the Television Critics Association’s session today, “I’ve spoken to over half of them. It was actually kind of bittersweet and lovely, because the women knew that it was a possibility, but they didn’t know [for sure], so there was a touch of shock, but not completely.”
In a way I'm kind of glad the show is ending because after eight seasons Marc seemed to be running out of ideas the put the housewives through. Maybe he should have called up Andy Cohen and asked him for some ideas to stage for his actors? All I know is Marc better give Vanessa a lot more to do this season than he did the last because he totally wasted her talents last season
