CHAZ BONO, ISIS KING, LAVERNE COX TALK LIVING AS TRANSGENDER ON JOY BEHAR
Last night on the Joy Behar Show (with my alternate husband whenever my first husband Anderson Cooper is out of the country Don Lemon sitting in as host while Joy is on her honeymoon) most of the hour was given to trans celebrities Laverne Cox (actress and star of the short-lived VH1 series TRANSform Me), Isis King (America's Next Top Model), Harmony Santana (Gun Hill Road) and Chaz Bono, who talked earlier in the episode about his documentary which was nominated for three Emmy's. The panel talked about transphobias, making changes in the community (especially when it comes to being included within the gay community as well) and also their upcoming projects.
I have to say watching Joy Behar's show last night was a historical moment. Not only did HLN (CNN's sister station) have an openly gay man mediating the panel, but we had four trans artists having a civilized conversation about tolerance and acceptance. Who knew people in the media could be so open minded? Below is a clip of Chaz talking about Cher, but as soon as the entire interview with the Trans panel is uploaded, i will most definitely will post it here.
