TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE GETS A NEW SCREAM QUEEN

Actress Alexandra Daddario has nabbed a role in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D sequel, which, thank the lord is not a continuation of the Jessica Biel reboot, but rather a sequel to the original horror film. There's also word that Gunnar Hansen, who played Leatherface in the 1974 Tobe Hooper classic is also set to return to the sequel, but will not be reprisng his role as the iconic cross-dressing cannibal serial killer. He is, after all too old to play the iconic Leatherface again. According to Entertainment Weekly, the sequel will dig deeper into the back story of original survivor Sally's past, and reveal her connection to the mentally disturbed family.

Here's what she told EW:

"[My character] find out she isn't who she thought she was and discovers what she has to do with the family in the original [movie]. It keeps you guessing. It's more of a mystery than the original."

Bill Moseley from the original film is also back but no word on what character he will be. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D starts shooting next month with director John Luessenhop (Takers).
