LINKIN PARK TO DROP NEW ALBUM NEXT YEAR

While we're all still clutching our pearls to singer Chester Bennington's excellent vocal of Adele's hit Rolling In The Deep, word on the street is that Linkin Park will drop a new album in early 2012. According to Rolling Stone, the band have brought Rick Rubin back to produce, after adding some of his magic to their latest album, A Thousand Suns, which received mixed reviews among fans and critics. The album so far is almost platinum, so far only selling $784,000 copies in the U.S. If we compare it with their previous albums, that would be considered a flop. As a fan i really hope they bring back some of the Nu-Metal angst that dominated albums such as Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but mix it up with the maturity and experimentation of A Thousand Suns. If they can bring the metal with the melody and have some catchy rock songs with deep substance, Linkin Park will be back on top where they deserve.
