I literally just died and went to musical heaven. Pop's Queen of weird and Icelandic goddess Bjork unleashed her new multimedia-inspired album Biophilia last night at Campfield Market Hall in Manchester, England last night. Not only did she perform classic tracks such as Isobel, All Is Full Of Love and It's Not Up To You, but she performed all 10 tracks off of her new album. The stage set included lightning, giant pendulums, David Attenborough, and a 24-piece female choir. Not stick that in your blunt and smoke that Gaga.
Bjork appeared onstage in a blue dress and giant orange wig that would leave Rihanna green with envy. As for the album, the tracks will be available not only as a physical CD copy and digital download, but also as a series of apps where fans can interact with the singles and remix them themselves. Bjork is definitely taking music and technology to a whole new level and I cannot wait to go along for the ride. Biophilia will be in stores this fall but in the meantime you can watch some of her performances below...
