AURAL ORGASM: MIKA TAKES ON THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE WITH ELLE ME DIT (She Tells Me)
A few years back I was madly in love with Mika's debut album Life In Cartoon Motion, but once he came with the second CD, he fell into what we in the music biz like to call the sophomore slump. I also liked the track he did for the Kick-Ass movie soundtrack that was produced by Red One, but it wasn't enough to get him back in top status. Now he's back singing oooh la la oui oui with his new single Elle Me Dit, his first single sung entirely in French and translates to She Tells Me. Elle Me Dit is the first single from his forthcoming album The Origins Of Love, which features production from dance mavericks such as Empire Of The Sun's Nick Littlemore, William Orbit (Madonna's Ray Of Light, Katie Melua's The House among others) and one of my favorite DJ/producers of the moment Martin Solveig (who M-Dolla should have on speed dial to work on her new album). As for who produced the album's first single, it hasn't been confirmed but if youre familiar with Solveig's signature dance sound it sounds like his fingers are all over this beat.
