SHIA LABEOUF QUITS TRANSFORMERS FRANCHISE

Three is the magic number for actor Shia LaBeouf, because once Transformers: Dark Of The Moon hits theaters on July 1, it'll be the last time you see him in the hit franchise.

”I’m not coming back to do another one. I don’t think [director Michael Bay] will either. It still is a hot property, I think, especially coming out of the third one. So I imagine they’ll reboot it at some point with someone else.”

Shia did note that whomever signs on to be the lead in the fourth film he will be there on opening night. Says Shia to MTV: “This is the best movie we’ve made, I’m serious. It’s not a joke. I’m dead honest, man. I get myself in trouble all the time, but this is our best installment. It’s our best movie.”

So Michael Bay and Shia LeBeouf are going out like Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale, who have vowed that they will not return for a fourth Batman film once The Dark Knight Rises wraps filming. I remember reading an article in Empire where Michael said he wasn't sure if he was coming back, but glad to know it's official. As much as I loathed Revenge of The Fallen but loved the first film, I'm actually looking forward to the new Transformers movie.
