Since Kelly Rowland has finally emerged from Beyonce's shadow as a true pop force to be reckoned with, and the singles from Bey's upcoming album are failing to chart, the forgotten child of destiny Michelle Williams is trying to scrub the crickets off her music career and has unleashed a peek at her forthcoming new single titled On The Run. Just like Michelle did back in 2008, she's not shying away from doing dance music, which I thought was the perfect direction for her to go into. The problem was that there weren't enough memorable dance tracks on her solo album Unexpected for her to stand out with, which is why it was a huge flop.
I will admit I bought her last pop album Unexpected, which had only two good songs on it (pretty much like a Cheryl Cole album), one of those single being We Break The Dawn. Based on On The Run to me it sounds like a song that could have been on the Fame soundtrack, if they revived the series for television. It ain't fierce like Break The Dawn, but I'll wait until I can hear it with the bass and everything added so I can get the full picture.
