With her directorial debut W.E. receiving distribution from the Weinstein Company, and demos of her many hits leaking all over the internet, M-Dolla's manager Guy Oseary revealed on Twitter that the pop icon will hit the studio next month to record the follow-up to her 1998 album Hard Candy, but kept mum on her choice of producers.
she has a good idea on which producers she will be working with…lots of questions about what kind of music it will be… stay tuned…
Fans also wanted to know if full-length concerts of Madonna's Blonde Ambition (used in her documentary Truth Or Dare) and Re-Invention (from I'm Going To Tell You A Secret) tours will see the light of day:
there are no back catalog plans currently.. I met with Warner Music about that very subject.. but nothing has come of it…anything in the past would be warner music catalog…lots of questions about dvd’s… At some point i will work with warners music to organize and collaborate on these projects.. no plan yet..
Guy also reported that he has no idea how a bunch of Madonna demos leaked online, and that there's no official tour until the album comes out. All I know is I'm beyond excited that Madonna will be hitting the studio this summer to record her new album, with hopes that the album will drop around November so that she can spend the summer of 2012 touring the world. I also can't wait to find out what producers she's chosen to work on the album.
