JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE SAYS DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR A NEW ALBUM

While Justin Timberlake has been building himself as a respectable actor in Hollywood for the past couple of years, many of his fans have been wondering when we will get a follow-up to his 2006 smash album, FutureSex/LoveSounds?  Here is what he told Playboy:

“I don’t have a single song ready to go. People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don’t know what to say. Music is not my focus right now. It may be someday. It could happen next month or next year, but right now it’s not where it’s at for me.”
He added: “Unfortunately, the business of music is what taints an artist’s desire to make music. I don’t want to paint a picture of being jaded, because I love making music. I honestly love it. But there is a level where making music becomes a total life-sucking commitment.”

I think Justin is at a point in his life where he doesn't feel that he has to succumb to the pressure of being a #1 artist in a shitty music market, who is more interested in whoring out their pop stars for profit instead of giving music listeners quality. If JT is not ready to hit the studio and become musically inspired, then he shouldn't do so because it's what his fans want. When the inspiration hits you and you feel the need to bring something creative back to the musical forefront, your fans will be patiently waiting. In the meantime, let's all take a moment for one of my favorite JT songs, Cry Me A River, which you can watch  below...
