HALLOWEEN 3D EYEING OCTOBER 2012 RELEASE
It's been a minute since we've seen Michael Myers wreck havoc on the people of Haddonfield, Illinois, and now we have word on an official release date.
According to Dimension Films, everyone's favorite serial killer since 1978 Michael Myers is set to slice and dice his way into theaters on October 26, 2012. This is my opinion is great news, since that date has been always reserved for the countless Saw sequels. The last two Halloweens - both directed (and ripped to shreds by critics and hardcore Halloween fans) by Rob Zombie were released in August.
Earlier this year there was a draft written by Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer, which would have Halloween 3D pick up after the events of H2 when Laurie Strode was committed to a mental institution. At the moment Lussier and Farmer are working on the script for the Hellraiser reboot, so I have no idea at the moment if Dimension will go with their draft or take the story in another direction. I'm sure the Weinstein's are looking to get the H3D ball rolling by the end of the summer, so if they need someone to bring in a script doctor to tighten up some loose ends (as well as find a new director), then they need to get the ball rolling.
