Many of us SVU fans may be still GAGGING over the news that sexy ass Christopher Meloni not reprising his iconic role as Det. Elliott Stabler on NBC's sole standing Law & Oder franchise Special Victims Unit. But don't cry for him Argentina because he's just nabbed a role in one of the biggest comic book movie reboots of 2012.
Rumors circulated that he would be playing Lex Luthor in the upcoming Superman reboot which is being directed by Zack Snyder (Dawn Of The Dead, Watchmen) and produced by Christopher and Jonathan Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight trilogy) but After Elton is reporting that Meloni will be playing a General in the film. This has me wondering will he be playing General Zod since it has been confirmed that Zod will be in the movie. If so that's great casting although I think it would have been real interesting to see him play the iconic Lex. As for his replacement on SVU how about making Ice T lead detective. The little time thy use him on the show he is quite engaging.
