It was no big secret that Avril Lavigne's new album Goodbye Lullaby was going to be a huge flop (besides first single What The Hell there weren't really any standout singles on the album), but now there's word that the pop rocker is already at work on her next album.
Avril is returning to the catchy pop/rock formula that made her famous, having already recorded eight tracks. If you all remember, the singer decided to ditch her pop sound to put out a more personal record, and just as her label feared music-goers balked at the album's new direction. As for the producers she's working with there's no official word, but if I had to recommend someone how about reuniting with Dr. Luke and get those songs you worked on with Alex Da Kid (that never made Goodbye Lullaby) on the album? Avril is on tour until the fall, so most likely her new album will be out at the end of 2011.
