WATCH: COMIC SAMPSON MCCORMICK CHATS WITH HIS MOM ABOUT WHAT IT'S LIKE HAVING A BLACK GAY SON
This isn't something you see quite often in the black community. Check out a positive conversation between D.C. comic Sampson McCormick and his mom as they discuss coming out, growing up in the Black church and family acceptance. There aren't many mothers out there who can separate their faith and it's teachings when it comes to conversations regarding homosexuality, and I applaud Sampson's mom as well as countless others (like my mom) who accept their children no matter who they are or what others may say.
