RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN AUGUST
Finally some great music news. Chad Smith, drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers revealed that the band will will drop a new album in August. Here's what he told 'Rock it Out Blog'
"It's been going good. We got lots of songs, we're just choosing the ones that are gonna be on the album. It sounds great."
The band, who last released 'Stadium Arcadium' in 2006 says they are sorting through the 20 tracks they've recorded so far to see which ones will make the final cut.
"I think we've tracked about 20 songs already, and there's a few more left to do. Then we'll whittle them down to make the best record. Continues Chad, We always cut a lot of songs and see which ones rise and which ones fall - that's just how we like to work."
With Foo Fighters having the #1 album in the country, Green Day rocking out with their cocks out after the final curtain call on their Broadway play American Idiot, and now Red Hot Chili Peppers releasing a new album, it looks like 2011 is shaping up to be a great year for rock music, something that is desperately needed to compete with this horrible watered-down version of dance music plaguing the U.S. music industry as of late.
