PRODUCER DARKCHILD HAS SOME ADVICE FOR CIARA

It's no secret that Ciara's music career hasn't been the same since her debut album Goodies came out ages ago. While she is hands-down the best dancer in the game, her music has yet to match said talent. After her latest album flopped, Jive Records dumped her as a client, and Ciara's been plotting her next move ever since. yes she's been spotted out with Amar'e Stoudmire and recently had a cameo on the CW series Hellcats. But what the fans really want from CiCi is a proper record that combined the street with the futuristic, as well as some dance/pop sounds that no one is out there doing. In pitch meeting talk I would say Aaliyah-meets-Janet.

Here is what superproducer Rodney Jerkins told Rap-Up.TV about his recent meeting with the ATL singer:

“I had a meeting with her about what her future holds and I told her I was there if she ever needed my creative juices, so hopefully me and her get in the studio and work,” he told Rap-Up TV at the BMI Pop Music Awards.

Darkchild also revealed in their sit-down that he offered the singer some brotherly advice:

“We had a long talk. I think she just has to get back to where she started,” he explained. “She had a lane that was specifically hers—that ghetto urban lane with the 808s. No female was doing that and she had it. I think if she just gets back to that, goes back to the blueprint…”

I don't know if she had a falling out with Jazze Pha, but when they worked together Ciara had a sound all her own. If she can go back to that and bring a sense of growth with the experimentation of new sounds, then maybe that's the direction she needs to go. Just always remember to remain true to yourself and march to the beat of your own drum. Trust me, all those R&B singers jumping on the dance bandwagon to sell records and not get dropped from their labels will be following your lead if you bring something new. I'm definitely rooting for Ciara to get the right music to catapult you where you needs to be creatively. So that means no more working with The Dream and Tricky. If they couldn't revive Mariah's last album and give JLo some decent tracks on her new album (because all the best tracks were produced by RedOne), they're definitely not the creative team you look to for quality. Maybe since Darkchild is giving advice on American Idol she should sign to his label? Check out his Rap-Up comment below...
