The always muy caliente and Miami's king of party music Pitbull, who has been releasing way too many uninspired guest raps on other people's music is set to release his sixth album Planet Pit on June 21. To get people jazzed up for his latest LP, he's recruited some of the music industry's heavyweights including Chris Brown (“International Love”), T-Pain, Kelly Rowland (“Castle Made of Sand”), Sean Paul, NeYo (Give Me Anything) and JLo's colostomy bag Marc Anthony aka Skeletor (“Rain Over Me”). Planet Pit will feature production from David Guetta, Afrojack (“Something 4 the DJs”), RedOne, Polow Da Don, and DJ Frank E. “Come & Go” was helmed by the hitmaking trio of Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco, and Max Martin.
Armando Perez says the new album was inspired by his traveling the world promoting his last album. “It embodies a bit of everywhere I’ve been,” says Pit,“I’m trying to be the ambassador; the bridge builder who brings elements from all over the world and puts it all together so it sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before.”
As much as I am a Pitbull fan, I've been turned off by his guest spots, most noteably JLo's On The Floor and Enrique Iglesias' I Like It. I know there's a few more but they escape me at the moment. In the meantime, Pitbull's new single “Give Me Everything” featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer, is currently burning up the Billboard Hot 100 charts at No. 19. Take a listen below...
