MADONNA AND LOURDES RECORDING DUET

Mother and daughter duo Madonna and Lourdes Leon aren't just partners in Material Girl fashion. According to a source at The Sun, Lourdes will duet with her mother on a new version of the song It's So Cool, a bonus track on her 2009 greatest hits album Celebration.

The source claims that the song will be featured either on Madonna's new album or the soundtrack to her upcoming film, the period piece W.E. about 1930s socialite Wallis Simpson. The source also goes on to say that Madonna is looking to use this as a platform to launch her 14-year-old daughter into a pop superstar a-la Willow Smith. “Madonna hopes Lourdes will step into her shoes and become one of the biggest female artists in the world. She is the perfect mentor for her daughter and is keen to assist her first steps into the music industry.”

Being that this is an unnamed source from The Sun, I'm going to take the whole turning her daughter into a future pop star as strictly rumor. I actually can't imagine a current dance track on the soundtrack of a period piece, and why would Madonna reuse a song on her greatest hits album for her new album? As for the It's So Cool duet, I'm curious to hear what Lola sounds like as a singer. If pop stardom is in her future, I hope she knows she'll have some big shoes to fill. All I want is a brand new dance album from Madonna now! In the meantime, listen to the original version of  It's So Cool below...
