Today we celebrate the birthday of actress, model, singer, and free spirit in all things fashion and fabulous the LEGENDARY Grace Jones. I sometimes gag that so many people out there have no idea that she is a singer, and she's created some of the most cutting-edge music and music videos of the 80's. One of my best friends had no idea she was a singer (I won't mention his name, but he thought Patra was the original singer on Pull Up To The Bumper). And yes I did slap him. Definitely check out her videography on Youtube if you can get around to it. The legend turns 62.
Grace's brother is the famous preacher Bishop Noel Jones who resides in Los Angeles and also married Wendy Williams and her husband Kevin Hunter 12 years ago.
Check out my all-time favorite song of Grace's, which I sing with my friends on the way to the club everytime it's played in the car or on classic disco nights when out at the club.
