BEYONCE UNLEASHES 4 ALBUM COVER; PREMIERES WHO RUN THE WORLD (Girls)
Her song may not be charting on the Billboard top 100 like her camp may have hoped, but Beyoncérefuses to go down without a fight. Mother Africa is coming hard in her latest video, shaking her money maker with 200 dancers while director Francis Lawrence brings the visuals he's known for in his other music videos and big screen films. Bey also released the official cover sleeve for her fourth album, titled, album, 4, which will be in stores on June 28. Here's what she had to say in regards to why she chose a number as an album title:
“We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me,” she told Billboard. “It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date.”
She couldn't call it The Emancipation of Beyonce since the haters would have said she was swagger-jacking. Finally with this new African Queen movement, she has something for once she can claim her own. I will admit I wasn't feeling the single, but I had a feeling the video would make up for it. I have never seen Beyoncé get down hard with such intricate choreography ever in her career. Definitely digging the African dance influences throughout. Maybe ditching Matthew as her father wasn't such a bad idea at all? Watch Beyoncé serve as she unleashes her inner-animal below.
