ROSIE O' DONNELL DEFENDS CHRIS BROWN

With all the recent drama surrounding Chris Brown, Rosie O' Donnell came under fire for defending the F.A.M.E. singer on her Sirius radio show.

On how Charlie Sheen gets a pass but Chris Brown is constantly crucified by the media: "I don't know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anybody else."

On how the questions about Rihanna triggered Chris Brown's inner-Meat Loaf: "I felt mildly angry at Robin Roberts. I felt like writing her and going: 'Can you take a look at this again and see if maybe you find -- in any way -- your responsibility in this?'"

On how she doesn't blame Chris for allegedly flinging a chair at a window: "Part of me wanted to take a chair and throw it through the window at The View after all that happened. But, you know, there are no windows down there in that rat-infested cellar. Remember that cellar we were in?" O'Donnell said to her radio producer. There were no windows. It was like a prison."

While I agree with her views on The View and the asscunts like Barbara Walters who make my asshole hairs shrivel up, it's no surprise that someone like Rosie would defend Chris Brown's actions, especially when she's notoroius for throwing bitch fits. Angry lesbian much? Yes Rihanna rediced his restraining order because she didn't want to keep him from promoting his album. Yes he did his time. Yes it was dismissed by the court. The big issue here is that Chris has come from an abusive home and he needs to learn how to get his anger under control. I understand it's not easy, but when you are in the public eye and you are being interviewed by someone, you don't get to control what comes out of the interviewer's mouth.

If it's national news what he's done in the past, I as a viewer and consumer want to know if Chris has grown from his mistakes. We as Americans love a redeeming comeback, and if Chris is not willing to show that quality, then the backlash will continue. I would think someone as old as Rosie would know better. But then again, she's set to lainch her new talk show in the fall in Oprah's old studio so I pretty much see this as publicity to remind people she's making a TV comeback.
