Word on the street is that Pauly D, who in my opinion will be the only castmate that will have a long career after Jersey Shore ends is in talks to sign with 50 Cent's G Unit imprint.
TMZ says that Pauly was at a screening for Fiddy's new movie Things Fall Apart (which has received some pretty bad reviews) and the two discussed a possible partnership. The deal would be Pauly would sign a three album deal as well as develop a merchandise line including headphones. 50 would like to seal the deal before Pauly heads off to Italy next month to shoot season four of Jersey Shore.
As you all know from me talking about Pauly on this blog every now and then, I like him alot and I'm proud that he keeps a low profile on the show and is using the reality show as a stepping stone into the music industry. Like I said before he's the only one with an actual talent, but with Pauly signing to G Unit has me a bit worried. Are they looking to expand their roster beyond hip hop? Fiddy's music label ain't poppin' like it used to, so if Pauly's music is that fist-pumping Euro dance that you often hear on the hit reality show, how does that sound fit into G Unit? Personally I see Pauly signing with a label like Ultra, Astralwerks or Cherrytree but if the deal comes across too good to pass up, then who am I to judge? I just hope he makes the right decision and has continued success because Mr. Delveccio deserves it.
