GLORIA ESTEFAN TO COLLABORATE WITH PHARRELL ON HIGH-ENERGY DANCE ALBUM
Madonna is not the only pop legend working on new music with Pharrell. Rap-Up is reporting that the hitmaker is collaborating with legendary Cuban-American superstar Gloria Estefan for her first English-language album since 2004’s Unwrapped. Pharrell will not only help co-write the lyrics, but he will have a hand in co-producing the entire album as well. I'm also hearing that Gloria's new album will have an up-tempo, high energy feel which will take her back to the roots of her1998 dance album Gloria!, which produced the remake of the disco classic Turn The Beat Around. If it's got a fusion of dance pop and Afro cuban global rhythms, count me in.
Estefan’s 11th studio LP will be in stores later this year.
