CHRISTINA AGUILERA STOPS BY JAY LENO; TALKS THE VOICE & NEW ALBUM

Xtina stopped by Jay Leno last night to promote the new singing competition show The Voice (which airs tonight), and chatted aobut the usual - such as her son, her turbulent last year (with a flop album and tour) and of course The Voice (which I believe will be just the image makeover she needs).

But the T doesn't stop there. She also opened up to USA Today about learning to become a little more humble.

“The last year has probably, with the divorce and considering everything that’s gone on, has humbled me a little bit,” she tells USA Today. “I prove to myself that I’m stronger than just to let things take over me, and take over my head space,” Aguilera says. “I’m very honest with myself in seeing if there are things that I need to change about my life, or if there are things I need to do stepping forward. That’s in part why I got the divorce. It’s a new beginning for me. It’s all positivity for me. I’ve been through some hard things, but I’m on the up and up.”

She also opened up about her new album, which she says will be her most personal yet. “For this one, I really want to make a real rooted, heartfelt record. After someone goes through the things that I have, regarding a divorce, there’s a lot of emotions that are stirred,” she says.

Now that's The Xtina I love. I just hope ince she's talking about all the humble pie she's been eating lately, she can learn not to take herself so seriously like so many of her mainstream peers.
