BETHENNY FRANKEL OPENS UP ABOUT HOW SHE TURNED REALITY STARDOM INTO A $120 MILLION EMPIRE
If there's anyone in the reality TV world I admire and would model myself after it would be Bethenny Frankel. The former Real Housewife of New York City and star of her own hit reality series Bethenny Ever After (and the creator of Skinny Girl margaritas) has gone from years of financial struggle and having $100.00 in her bank account to using her reality TV platform to make a whopping $120 million (which is more than 5000 Snookis can count on both hands).
Like Frankel, when I auditined for the gay Jersey Shore reality show Under The Boardwalk in February, I looked at it as a business opportunity and a way for me to possibly launch brand ideas - not to get drunk and act stupid which is what I saw the rest of the auditioners doing. Yea the drunken debauchery and arguments would have been an entertaining plus, but I did it to launch a brand that would last beyond 15 minutes. If I'm going to make a fool of myself and have millions of people watching you best believe I'm going to squeeze as much money out of that foolery as possible.
The article is pretty long so you can read how she created her own empire by heading over to thehollywoodreporter.com In the article the self-made Bravo star opens up about her winning business model, her plans to continue to grow her brand and bucking the reality system: “I went on the show single-handedly and exclusively for business.”
