The time has come for the Gaga hype machine to come into full effect. Not only has the pop superstar unleashed her new highly-hyped new single Judas upon us, but we also have your first look at her new album sleeve for Born This Way.
I have to say the album sleeve isn't bad, but it looks like it was done by someone who just learned photoshop 101 an hour ago and just wants to show what they've done to their friends. Never in a million years did I think she would birth herself to look like a motorcycle designed by H.R. Geiger As someone who prides herself on being avant-garde and cutting-edge, I expected more from her.
As for the single like Born This Way it has to grow on me because as a fan of industrial electro pop (as in Nine Inch Nails, VNV Nation and Apoptygma Beserk), this song is ok. I like the agressive beat but as far as the lyrics, they're a mess. I yearn for the day when she goes back to collaborating with other songwriters like she did on The Fame because on her own it clearly shows that Gaga is not the greatest songwriter (Born This Way anyone?)
Anyways, listen to Judas below and make sure you pick up her third album Born this Way on May 23rd and if you like her already #1 single on iTunes, make sure you download it whenever you can.
Damn you Gags you're pulling me to the dark side again and I don't like it one bit. Judas is growing on me.
